Ndloo
Ndloo is a dating platform that connects users with one another to kickstart a fun and meaningful journey that can lead to love. I originally joined the project through Albanny Technologies, but after working closely with the team and contributing to the platform’s growth, I was retained by Ndloo as part of their staff — thanks to the impact of my work and the strong connection I built with them.
Key Flow Simplifications and My Critical Contributions
1️⃣ Simplifying the app for better functionality
The app was originally designed with separate features like My Likes, Who Liked Me, Blocked List, and My Dislikes. This made the app feel heavy and cluttered after the first design phase.
👉 My work:
I simplified the experience by introducing a single feature called “My Circle”, which combined all these elements into organized tabs.
This made the app feel lighter psychologically, improved user flow, and allowed faster, easier navigation across features.
I also designed a way for users to like someone directly from the Who Liked Me tab, without needing to open each profile — making the process smoother and more intuitive.
2️⃣ Introducing the gifting feature
After researching human behavior in dating, I asked myself: “What impresses a Nigerian lady more than gifts?”
👉 My work:
I introduced the gifting feature, allowing users to send gifts to someone they’re interested in — directly from the matches screen, profile view, or while messaging.
I designed a Gifts section where users can see all the gifts they’ve received and convert them to cash seamlessly.
I added micro-interactions for when a gift is sent, received, or when visiting the Gifts screen — making the experience more lively and engaging.
I also created a special appreciation message that pops up when a gift is received, to make it feel extra meaningful.
3️⃣ Building the streaming feature
To help users connect more deeply and enjoy real-time interactions, I introduced the streaming feature to the app.

Designed and integrated the streaming feature so users could go live and interact with matches or new people in real time.
Made sure the feature supported both one-on-one private streams and public broadcasts, giving users options based on their comfort level.
Focused on keeping the interface clean and easy to use, so users could start streaming or join streams in just a few taps.
Added engagement tools — like live reactions and comment sections — to make the experience more fun and interactive.
Designed the Goal feature so streamers could set a gifting target during their live sessions.
Made it easy for viewers to see the goal and contribute gifts to help the streamer reach it.
This not only encouraged more gifting, but also added a fun, motivating challenge to streams — making them more engaging for both streamers and viewers
