🌍 Concept FutureSelf is a personal development and goal-setting app that uses AI, gamification, and mentorship to help users imagine, plan, and build the future they desire. It transforms self-improvement into an engaging, guided experience, where users can visualize their future selves and take actionable steps toward becoming them. 🎯 Core Objectives Help users clarify their long-term vision (career, health, relationships, etc.). Provide a structured roadmap of goals, habits, and milestones. Enable AI-powered reflections and future self simulations. Build accountability networks with mentors, peers, and partners. Make personal growth fun and motivating through gamified challenges and visuals.
The Challenge and My Role
🚀 The Challenge
Many people struggle with clarity, accountability, and consistency when working toward their goals. Traditional productivity apps focus only on task management, while lifestyle apps focus on motivation — but there’s no seamless bridge between vision, planning, and execution.
The challenge was to design an app that:
Makes long-term visions tangible (through AI-generated “future selves”).
Simplifies goal-setting into daily actions without overwhelming users.
Encourages accountability through mentors, peers, and AI nudges.
Feels intuitive, engaging, and gamified instead of rigid or boring.
🎨 My Role
As the UI/UX Designer, I:
Researched goal-setting tools, productivity frameworks, and motivational psychology.
Defined the user journey — from onboarding with Evo (AI guide) to future self-visualization and habit tracking.
Created the moodboard & design system using our brand palette (Electric Blue
#00C2FF, Purple#8A2BE2, Emerald Green#00D084) with dark backgrounds for contrast.Designed wireframes & interactive prototypes for onboarding, home, vision board, accountability, and settings screens.
Proposed gamified features like streaks, quizzes, and progress avatars to keep users engaged.
Collaborated with stakeholders to refine scope and align features with business goals.

Designed the entire FutureSelf app experience — from the user-facing mobile application to role-based dashboards for mentors and partners, ensuring every touchpoint felt intentional and intuitive.
Created a consistent design system across mobile and web, aligning typography, color palette (Electric Blue, Emerald Green, and Purple), and components for a seamless, scalable design.
Established the brand identity — futuristic yet approachable — by using bold gradients, dynamic illustrations, and clean layouts that reflect personal growth and forward-thinking.

✨ Write a Letter to Your Future Self
I created a feature where users can write a personal letter to their future self. This wasn’t just about journaling — I designed it as a reflective, emotional moment that helps users stay motivated and intentional about their goals.
Added emotional cues (soft gradients, encouraging microcopy) to make the process feel inspiring.
Designed scheduled delivery so users can choose when their letter will be “delivered” back to them in the future.
Included privacy controls so users decide whether to keep letters personal or share excerpts with mentors/partners.

I simplified the process of setting and tracking goals, making it less overwhelming and more gamified.
Created step-by-step goal creation flow with smart suggestions.

Through my research and design process, I identified that users often lose motivation when working toward long-term goals. They needed simplicity, guidance, and motivation to stay consistent. To address this, I combined simplified goal-setting, AI assistance, and gamification to create a seamless and engaging experience.
