The Challenge and My Role

Bringing Direction to a Complex, Undefined Product

When I began the project, the company’s plan was to build something similar to Fiverr. But I suggested, “Why not also let users search for regular jobs?” — adding a unique angle that set the platform apart.

I stepped into multiple roles:

• Design Lead: Built the entire product design system and full user flows.

• Product Strategist: Set product priorities, audience targeting, and MVP focus.

• Documentation Contributor: Authored and designed product documentation to help teams, investors, and partners better understand the core model of Virtualting.

Key Challenges I Tackled

1️⃣ Refining the Right Starting Point (Targeting the Right Audience)

With two main audiences:

• 👉 I helped shape the project’s direction by focusing on the right audience mix — not just freelancers and gig seekers, but also people looking for full-time or part-time jobs.

• 👉 Proposed expanding beyond the typical Fiverr-style approach to attract both gig workers and traditional job seekers, giving the platform a broader reach.

• 👉 Ensured the platform design, features, and messaging were aligned with this dual audience, making Gigitright stand out from competitors.

2️⃣Created a safe and secure escrow payment system that ensures freelancers get paid reliably — with funds released at key project milestones, visible in both their wallet and project dashboard.

• 👉 Created a safe and secure escrow payment system to protect both clients and freelancers during transactions.

• 👉 Designed the flow so that funds are released at agreed project milestones, ensuring freelancers are paid fairly and on time.

• 👉 Integrated payment tracking into both the freelancer’s wallet and project dashboard for full transparency.

3️⃣ Project Management Tool — Lightweight Task Assignment & Tracking

My solution:

• 👉 Created a lightweight, unique project management tool that lets clients assign tasks to freelancers without making the app feel heavy or complicated.
  
  

• 👉 Designed the flow so users can assign, track, and mark tasks as “finished” or “done” easily within the project dashboard.
  
  

• 👉 Focused on simplicity and speed — ensuring the tool helped users stay organized without slowing down the platform or overwhelming them with features.4️⃣ Driving Product Execution and Team Clarity

5️⃣ Other features i added to the platform

As Frontlett’s staff-sharing model was part of the broader Virtualting system, I also contributed to:

• D👉 Added a “legal contract on-the-go” feature, allowing users to generate ready-to-use contracts quickly — helping protect both clients and freelancers while keeping the workflow smooth and professional.
  
  

• 👉 Created a full portfolio area for freelancers, with an easy setup process so users can showcase their work effortlessly. I also designed the client view to make checking portfolios fast and straightforward, helping clients make confident hiring decisions.
